Hello everyone! bet you've been wondering where I've been? There's never a dull moment around here and it's been hectic as usual.
I flew to Ontario last week it was a really quick trip but the four hour flight along with the 3 hour time change tends to tire a person out.
Having said that, you know the old saying "No rest for the wicked". Immediately upon my return I had a couple of days of work left and some catching up to do from my days away, then I had to get ready for our 5 hour drive up to Kelowna for the Thanksgiving long weekend!
DH & I had a nice visit with his brother and family over Thanksgiving. We had a house full, 13 adults and 7 kids! I spent a good portion of Sunday in the kitchen with my BIL getting the "feast" prepared.
I had some sad news before leaving for Kelowna, a colleague of Dr. Beer's passed away while I was in Ontario. Upon my return from Kelowna Dr. Beer called me to let me know that the funeral was Tuesday, so he and I attended together.
Here's my rant for the week as well..... who in their right minds leaves their security fobs in their car!? PLEASE!
Well this has happened here at our complex. Someone had their car broken into and their security fob was in the car. Needless to say, it has caused some serious trouble at our complex.
In the past two weeks we've had 22 cars broken into, 1 car stolen and 39 lockers broken into. Luckily our cars are fine but we discovered that our locker was broken into sometime Monday evening. Nothing valuable was stolen it's just a mess (which I still have to clean up) and we've had to install another lock.
The annoying thing is that this one stolen fob, (yes it was cancelled from the system eventually!) was reported as stolen way too late! allowing the thieves access to the building for several days and it has caused a second ripple effect, as the thieves continued to break into vehicles, they discovered that this complex is full of very helpful "bright individuals", who have also left their security fobs in their cars! "Hello? is anyone really that stupid!?" Obviously....
Now onto a more positive note.... I'm going to a crop this weekend. It starts at 5pm on Friday night and ends at 3pm on Sunday afternoon! It's the Crop 4 Kids Charity event. We're scrapbooking, taking classes, shopping etc. and raising money for Children's Hospital! I'm excited about the weekend! I hope to get a good portion of my projects finished.
