Good Karma...

...or what goes around comes around.

I had a really great day yesterday, not only did I feel much better after spreading some Christmas cheer for the food bank. I managed to get a lot of chores done, some baking, prep work for today's "Crop A Mas" and I had an appointment at my local spa.

This is where the good Karma comes in. A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the Healing Arts VIP evening. I had a great time, schmoozing, sipping wine, nibbling on canapes and enjoying the demonstrations and info sessions about the Healing Arts Spa and Centre.

I booked a couple of appointments for this week. I had a hot stone massage (courtesy of my scrapbook group, who gave me a gift certificate for the massage)... man I was in heaven! and I had an appointment to have Jamie (the director of the centre) look at my cherry angionoma (it's a red mark under my eye which is getting larger and quite annoying)

Well.... Jamie had a surprise for me. I won the grand prize from the VIP evening! She knew I was coming in and saved the basket to pass on to me....so I had no idea I had won until she walked out with this....
This basket was full of wonderful things. I was like a kid in a candy store opening it last night.
Included in the basket: wine, candles, Diana Krall CD, Cosmetics, beauty products, bath products, massager, loofah, plush bath robe and four gift certificates! Yes count them... four! I calculated that the grand prize is worth about $750!!!

So I believe that my good deed in the morning at the food bank was returned to me in the form of good karma and I won a wonderful prize!
