Monday... Monday...

The start of another week and it looks like the rain has set in for the day here in Vancouver. Spring is really just around the corner, I saw signs of spring this weekend... really and truly I did! The cherry blossom trees are starting to grow buds, the early rising shoots of daffodils are in the garden and the rhododendrons are starting to bloom too. So I know that spring is coming.... is it March 20th yet!?

I had our place cleaned on Friday (Maria is a god send!) and on Saturday DH and I went for a 4.5 mile walk around the city. It was a bit chilly but at least it was dry ;) We walked in and around the area where the 2010 Olympic Village is being built, and it's coming along quite nicely. The changes to the south east side of False Creek are amazing, I can remember when EXPO 86 was taking place in Vancouver and how that whole area looked back then, it has changed so dramatically in the past year with more changes to come over the next two years.

On Sunday I went with friends to an afternoon concert which was celebrating the 100th birthday of Canadian composer Jean Coulthard. It was a fabulous afternoon, with some wonderful musicians playing a wide range of Jean's compositions. I have the biography of Jean Coulthard, "Jean Coulthard, A Life In Music" and the authors were at the event yesterday, so at the reception I had them autograph the book.

So this week I've got a big to do list, concerts to attend, meetings to attend, work to do, organizing my scrap gear and basically keeping it all together for another week! LOL

Time flies when you're having fun! speaking of time flies.... can you believe that around this time last year I was in Germany! where the heck did that time go to?

I think it's almost time for me to plan another trip... hmmmm Austria sounds nice. DH and I watched a documentary last night featuring the history of Salzburg and Vienna. DH went to Salzburg with his family when he was a boy and all he remembers is the large castle on the hill top. It did look lovely and has the travel bug churning in my head yet again ;)

Have a great week and Happy Monday! :)

Oh, that's exciting to be able to watch them build the olympic village!!! You're so lucky to live right there!
