Our adventure started on Thursday evening Feb. 19th at the Vancouver Airport Fairmont Hotel... we had to be up at 5:00am on Friday to get checked in. So we spent the evening at the hotel.
It's early Friday February 20th and we prepare to start our days journey to Miami. Here's Jo happily waiting to board the plane at our gate bright and early!
Jo loves to fly! she was snickering and giggling all the way to Miami with us ;) It was a long day of flying with connections in Phoenix AZ and Charlotte NC before reaching Miami at midnight!
We made it! Yippee!! now to get a good nights sleep at the hotel before meeting everyone at the big breakfast gathering and then making our way to board the cruise ship! Nightie night Jo!
Saturday Feb.21... we're in Miami!! we're going on a ship!! Here's Jo basking in the sunshine at breakfast, she's getting excited.... we start cruising today!
Today is also the day that Jo meets Fred (aka Freddy Flamingo). Our cruise group were divided into groups, Orchids, Palm Trees, Dolphins and Flamingos.... well you can guess how excited we were to be part of the Flamingo group and the hotel gift shop just happened to have these too cute stuffed pink flamingos. Jo meet Fred.... Fred meet Jo! You two are going to have a blast!
Here we are on the cruise ship leaving the Port of Miami.
Next stop.... Dominican Republic. Stay tuned...
