Mary, Hayley, myself, Hanna and Jake (Mary's children) had a fun couple of hours yesterday waiting for our 45 seconds of fame! LOLIt was extremely busy at Children's Hospital yesterday, not only was the telethon on, but they also had the ChildRun happening, so there were thousands of people everywhere!
We met up near the check in tent and had to hang out until we hit the "magic 45 minutes before air time mark" at which time we had our photo taken with the giant cheque. Sandra, the other organizer of Crop for Kids was unable to attend in person.... but Mary took "flat Sandra"! She just happens to pop up in a few photos... and on live TV too!!!
After the photo, we wandered over to the Studio presentation launch tent and waited with the giant cheque!
As the time slot approached we walked down the "cement carpet" towards the studio which was set up in the hospital and waited until we were guided in to our location and "the mark".
We then did our thing.... *note* if you look closely, I'm holding flat Sandra in my left hand, so she was there too! LOL Sandra will kill me!!
After... we sat down, had something to drink, took a few more photos and that was it! all done and finished by 11:00 am.
Mary did a great job on air !!

You all should be so proud, what an amaxing amount of money you raised for Kids!!!
I taped it and watched it last night, great job and that was a very impressive cheque. Let's hope the cheque next year will be even bigger.
