I was catching up on friends' blogs this morning and found when I was visiting Carrie that she had tagged me.

And here is my sentence: "The three salesmen, who had arranged themselves as sentinels around us, joined their palms in respect and smiled".

This is from "The Silent Raga" by Ameen Merchant. He was born in Bombay and raised in Madras, India. The Silent Raga is his first novel. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he is working on his next novel and programming a new Bollywood audio channel for the CBC.
