It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas!

This weekend we head into December and the holiday celebrations get into full swing.  Things around the house have started to look and feel a bit festive.  With getting all the gift shopping and shipping done early I've had several wrapped gifts "under the coffee table", on Sunday I made DH put up some twinkly lights in our living room windows.

We received our first Christmas card from the UK and the Lebkuchen from Tante Ingrid arrived too!
Thanks Stan and Sylvia!

Vielen Danke Tante Ingrid!

I popped into the German Christmas Market this week, just to have a quick peek around and there's some new vendors and food stalls this year, along with my favorites too!  I enjoy the market immensely, but have to say, going in the daytime certainly doesn't feel as festive as it does in the evening.... maybe it's all the sparkly lights that make me "happy inside".  So I have several dates booked with friends and DH too to hit the market, I'll be having some Gluhwein, Feuerzangenbowle, Bier, Pretzel, Spaetzle and much much more I'm sure :)

Ooh pretties!
Traditional ornaments and decorations :)
Ann and I have switched up our December 1st kick off plans this year.  As most of you know we had planned to go the New York City this year, but after the devastating Super storm Sandy, we decided to play it safe and change our plans to go somewhere a little closer and just as festive at this time of year.  So today, we are heading to San Fransisco :)

Here are a few things going on in SF to help us celebrate the season! There's so much more!!!
Great Dickens Christmas Fair and Victorian Party

Union Square Tree Lighting was on the 23rd - I'm excited to see what it looks like in real life - check it out here

Union Street Fantasy of Lights

Have a great weekend! see you all next week :) I'm back on Monday the 3rd.
