Once majestic...

How beautiful this church must have been. Abandoned after the earthquake of 1998, letting nature take its course - stunning yet sad.  It fills my mind with all sorts of images and I am amazed at how many of the structural details still remain and I wonder what has disappeared forever.  I can just imagine how lovely this place would have been on a beautiful night; the bright moonlight illuminating the sky, and the once majestic church casting silhouettes onto the village roads.
