Triathlete #154

Our niece Erica did an amazing job in her junior triathlon on Saturday in Kelowna! It was a scorcher that day (as predicted) and being in the junior category meant an early start, 7:30am, which everyone was very thankful for.... by the time it was 9:30am it was already stinkin' hot!!!Erica completed the event in 44 minutes 06 sec. ...a whole 10 minutes faster than last year!

300 metre swim in 4 min 41 sec. She's the one closest to the orange buoy looking straight ahead

15km cycle in 24 min
3km run in 12 min, she's crossing the finish line here!
Transition time 4 min. the time it takes to get from the water, onto your bike and then from your bike into the run. It's quite the challenge! Here she is with her medal. She was ranked #19 in her age group!
