Pedi, Pub, & Sunshine

We are finally out of the fog after two weeks of being 'socked' in. Yippee! it's so wonderful to see the sunshine & blue skies. I managed to get out of the apartment Friday, Saturday & Sunday!

Penny picked me up and wheeled me up to City Square on Friday so I could enjoy lunch with her, Charles & Peter. I managed to make dinner on Friday night!.... okay well not the whole dinner but I did "whip up" a prawn curry. Norbert just had to cook the rice and serve it up when he got home. Cooking is an entirely different experience from a wheelchair & walker. It's something I should really video tape just for the laugh. I gave myself a pedicure too... it felt so good. Took me twice as long to do than normal but it feels much better for having it done. Also the butterfly tape has finally come off of my leg, so I can slather my leg & scar with moisturizer.... the darn thing is so itchy!!
Saturday I had a lovely visit from my friend Marnie. She brought Norbert and I a fabulous homemade crab chowder (which we thoroughly enjoyed!) and some work for me to do! After her visit Norbert wheeled me down the street to do some grocery shopping. Later in the evening we wheeled down to the pub for dinner :) Neither of us wanted to cook and I'm always game for the local pub.
Sunday was another glorious day so myself and the wheelchair were loaded up into the car. Off to English Bay for a stroll on the sea wall. It was fabulous to have the sea air and sunshine on my face. We strolled/wheeled for a couple of hours, stopped and enjoyed a veggie dog, chips & iced tea in the sunshine before heading back home. It's a busy week ahead for me... surprising since I'm still not able to walk on my foot but, I have a fully booked week with a stack of work to do on the computer, Helen is taking me to the spa for a facial, Jo is taking me out for some scrappin' fun, Ann is stopping in for dinner (or dinner out), Norbert's company party, SuperBowl and somewhere in there I'd like to see if I can get to the hairdresser for a haircut! LOL So as you can tell I'm going to have a pretty full week ahead. Have a good one everyone!

What cream are you using? Does it have vitamin D in it? I hear that's good for scars. Bet it felt good to have a pedi, eh? Your toes look so purdy!
