Bet you've been wondering.......

where the heck is Izzy?! she hasn't blogged in weeks!

Sad, but oh so true.... blogging fell to the bottom of the pile. After my last post, things went into over drive and I haven't really stopped since.  So without further ado, a mini update from the past few weeks with some photos thrown in.

After the bee sting and fall..... I'm happy to report that it only took 3 days for the swelling to completely go away on the foot, the ankle was bruised and sore for about a week and I didn't bend any metal.

I celebrated my birthday...thanks Diane and Kathy for a fun evening, Jo - thanks for the scrapbook day of fun, Ann - thanks for dinner and Eat Pray Love movie night out, Helen - thanks for a wonderful afternoon lunch at the Hotel Vancouver and SooZeeQue - thanks for the fantastic Japanese dinner.  Yeah it's all about the friends, food, wine, beer and scrapbooking!

After my birthday celebrations I was in preparation mode for Ingrid's arrival.  Norbert's aunt came from Germany to visit, so we were tour guides in our own city.  We had an absolutely wonderful visit, it was fabulous to have her here and really hard when it was time for her to go home.

Then it was time for the first Vancouver Women's Musical Society's season opening concert.  It was wonderful and I'm looking forward to the 2010-2011 season.

Music in the Morning also kicked off in September and it's season is packed full of amazing performers.

Norbert and I also had the pleasure of attending the season opening concert at the VSO, featuring Avan Yu (more about him in another post) it was fabulous and we had a chance to hob nob with the folks in the Patron's Circle (thanks Marnie!) at a wine and cheese reception before the concert and a coffee/dessert reception at intermission.  Imagine my surprise when the Premiere, Gordon Campbell showed up too!

The Scrapaholics celebrated their 4th anniversary with a "Scrap-a-versary" all day crop, that was a fun fill day with my scrapbooking buddies.

Last weekend I was at the BC Crop 4 Kids with my buddies and we had a great time!  It's an amazing weekend and the organizers work extremely hard at this event to raise money for BC Children's Hospital.  The "Scrapaholics" group in attendance had "horseshoes up their bums" we won a number of door prizes and several of us won 50/50 draws!  Table 11 was a lucky table for us!  Here we are on Saturday night "The masked scrapping divas".  What a hoot!! and Jo even won a prize for her amazing "Marie Antoinette" costume.

On the health front, I'm dealing with a seriously painful arm - I've torn the bicep muscle and am having treatment for it, but seriously, I'm having difficulty even doing the most mundane of things like putting up my hair, putting on a bra, showering... anything that requires me to lift my arm is just NOT happening.  I can't raise my right arm at all and it is constantly throbbing.  DH has been a gem helping me get ready in the mornings, and my friends have been great helping me lift heavy scrapbooking gear!

So that's what's been happening for the past few weeks.... go go go!
I'm in preparation mode for Christmas over the next couple of weeks, the parcel to Germany has to be shipped by October 25th.... good lord!
