9 Days in the South of Germany

Hello everyone!  Ingrid and I arrived back in Grossenaspe on Thursday evening after spending a wonderful 9 days in the south.  Bamberg, Hirschaid, Pommersfeldn, Dresden, Pillnitz, Meissen, Halle and Magdeburg :)

I have taken just over 500 photos so far, I think that will keep me busy scrapbooking until Christmas! LOL  We are having a family party on Saturday for Lars and Katharina's 5 year anniversary, I can't believe how the time has flown by, I remember being here for the wedding.

Favorite highlights....
Bamberg - Rathaus, Markt Platz, Bamberg Zaubert,Weinfest, Bamberg Gartenshau
Hirschaid - Friends and fun visits
Pommersfeldn - Schloss (an amazing castle!)
Dresden - Semer Oper (opera), Frauen Kirche (the whole city is amazing!)
Pillnitz - another amazing Schloss and beautiful gardens
Meissen - the Meissen porcelain factory...OMG! spectacular, I saw some pieces of porcelain worth 60,000 Euro.  The DOM (cathedral) is so spectacular as well.  I was happy that they allowed photos inside (not many of the churches and cathedrals allow photos inside).
Halle - the birthplace of George Friedrich Handel.  the Handel House and the Martk Platz.
Magedeburg - die Hundert Wasser Haus - you have to see it to believe it, the architecture is fun and funky, there are several HWH in Germany and each one is unique.  The one in Magdeburg is pink!

Still have a few more things to do and see here, going to Hamburg on Tuesday to have high tea at the hotel.
hope everyone is doing well..... see you soon!
