Official Announcement made....

Diane Ashworth at Clipper Street Scrapbook Company is retiring! So on June 15th... Deanna Hutchison & Stacey Wikelin are the new owners of the Langley location. Good luck & congrats Deanna :)

This change also means that the Coquitlam location of Clipper Street is closing soon. Yes I did say "closing!" & their Richmond location closed just a few weeks ago. It's nice to see those that have worked hard to build successful businesses are now able to retire and enjoy life.... but it's also sad that the number of LSS's is reducing.

There aren't too many "brick & mortar"LSS's left locally, I'm looking at a minimum 25 minute drive. Langley is a tad too far for me to just "pop out" to the scrapbook store, I have to plan a whole days event to make it worthwhile for me to maneuver all the traffic and the dreaded Port Mann bridge. The traffic, whether it's rush hour or not can be horrendous! & god forbid if there's an accident or stall on the bridge. To be honest, the last time I went over that bridge was September 2008 to go to the Crop 4 Kids!! but I have been promising my friend Diane a trip out to Langley.... perhaps this summer for a photo shoot and some shopping!

Sorry ot hear that, but now you know how I feel. It's at least 45 min. to my closest LSS

It is very sad to see the LSS becoming so limited. Good thing the patch is still there!!! PHEW!

Thanks for the congrats!! You will always have a special place waiting for you in Langley--and yup, we can make it a day event:)
I'm hoping to do another "tropical" all day crop and have tons of leftovers from the cruise to give away! I'm hoping you and Diane will come to represent the Crop and Cruise gals--my treat:)
we'll be in touch with the details--
talk to you soon!

I dropped into Clipper Street last night and I am sure I will be there at least one more time before they close their doors. It is all very sad. I hear you on the commute over that darn Port Mann ....
