Buttenheim

Not much has changed in Buttenheim in the past five years, it was still really nice to visit again. Buttenheim is a small village - it's claim to fame - this is the birthplace/home of Levi Strauss, yes the man who made blue jeans famous!  Ingrid and I went on a tour (which was amazing) of his family home, unfortunately, no photo were allowed inside the home.  I do have all the brochures, tickets etc. for my scrapbooks!

Marianne is originally from Buttenheim, she and Hansi live very close to here, so one evening we went to a wonderful Gasthaus that has been in Buttenheim since 1867.  The food and the beer were amazing!  we also went for a lovely drive in the evening around the countryside.  Here are a few photos from our outing.

The local beer - it's good!

I think he needs a hair cut so he can see where he's going!

Baby wants to check out the action too.
